I am a skilled and compassionate therapist with over 15 years of experience as a clinician in the mental health field. I am a therapist who believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and strives to create a safe, respectful and nonjudgmental environment to help you work towards your goals.
I offer therapy to individuals struggling with a variety of issues such as, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, self esteem, stress management, relationship challenges, coping with grief/loss, managing difficult emotions and coping with life transitions. I use evidence based therapeutic approaches that are effective and catered to your individual needs. My primary therapy modalities include cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, solution focused/strength based interventions and mindfulness approaches. I work from an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and trauma informed framework. I strive to work towards helping people achieve their goals, increase self awareness, build coping skills and most importantly make meaningful change in their lives.
I have a Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto and I am a registered Social Worker with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers. In addition to my individual therapy practice, I’m employed full time as a Social Worker at Humber River Hospital’s outpatient mental health clinic.
