I have a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Toronto, and a certification in Mental Health and Addictions, as well as specialized training in several therapeutic interventions including cognitive behaviour therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, solution focused brief therapy, emotionally focused therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness. I have been fortunate to work with youth, adults, couples, parents, and families, as they cope with symptoms of anxiety, depression, stressful events, relationship conflicts, grief, and life transitions, among others. My experience includes practicing in multiple hospital and community based mental health settings and supporting emerging psychotherapists and social workers in their learning.

Seeking therapy can be a stressful and scary step, and I feel privileged each day that I am invited into an individual’s life, to learn about their culture and ways of being, and be trusted with their stories. My role is to provide a comfortable space within which to bring up uncomfortable topics, by being non-judgmental, client-centered, and trauma informed in my practice. I greatly value feedback at every step of the therapeutic process and will work hard to support you at every step of the way.

I provide services in English, Urdu and Hindi.

I am a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
